SSI - FACTS

One of the overwhelming aspects of maintaining a site is when you need to update a part of your websites information that occurs on every page.

You’re suddenly faced with the impending chore of copying and pasting new code or information into numerous files.
 
If you had used SSI in your original design, all you would have to do is modify the SSI file and all of your pages would echo the new changes in one easy step.

Not all hosting servers allow SSI... so check this out... or move to a server that does allow server side includes.

Use server side includes in useful and reasonable ways, no need to get extreme.

You can use SSI to create headers, copyright footers, messages, menus, etc.  But you don't need to turn your whole site into an SSI revolution, or you can slow down the upload on your site.
